Haylings Farm is located in the heart of the Forest Of Dean near the village of Newnham in Gloucestershire.

The farm is open from 20th to 23rd and from 27th to 30th of August 2010 (the time when plums are ripe on the farm) so that you can either pick and purchase your own plums or purchase ready picked plums.

Haylings Farm

Haylings Farm has 12 acres of traditional orchards comprising some 1,600 fruit trees. Amongst which are over 1,000 plum trees with the rest being made up of apples and pears. A Forest of Dean orchard has recently been planted to help preserve varieties native to the area.

The farm’s ethos is to be profitable and produce delicious fruit but not at the expense of wildlife or the environment. So no pesticides or sprays are used on the trees. Old dead trees, where possible, are left for invertebrates to feed on to help maintain a healthy eco-system.
